Trout and Grayling Permits

DUE TO COVID TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS GRAYLING permits are NOT available online through Fishpal.com. Please contact the Estate Office only if you live in the Perth & Kinross Local authority area. We are unable to issue permits to anyone living outside PKC at the moment. We are only issuing season not day permits .

BROWN TROUT Season 15 March to 30 September - PERMITS NOW SOLD OUT FOR 2021

GRAYLING Season 15 November to 15 January (Please contact office from 1 November only for Permits)

Please note that fishing is open provided the government guidelines of social distancing, travel radius to fish etc are observed 


ADDITIONAL CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION

These rules will apply to all past and future bookings 

  1. Social Distancing. Always keep at least 2 metres away from ALL other people on the river (unless in your own household). In particular do not shake hands with anyone.
  2. Do not share cars, boats, huts, tackle, nets, crockery, food etc with anyone else (unless in your own household).
  3. Bring your own food and drink and do not share.
  4. Bring your own hand sanitiser and wipes and use regularly during the day.
  5. Wear gloves when touching doors, gates, styles, fences or any equipment that is not your own.

In addition you must use your own common sense at all times to reduce the risk of cross infection. If in doubt, don't do it!


STANDARD BOOKING CONDITIONS

  1. The bearer is permitted to fish for GRAYLING only over fishings which extend from A-B NORTH BANK AND C-D SOUTH BANK on the map. Upper and lower limits are marked by notice board on-site, the upper limit at Point C being a marker post approximately 100 yards below the mouth of the Water of May.

  2. Juniors must be accompanied by an adult.

  3. Grayling seasonal: 15th November 2020 to 15th January 2021 (excluding Sundays).

  4. HOURS OF FISHING: Sunrise to 1 hour after Sunset.

  5. Grayling anglers must give way to Salmon anglers and if asked, to move on or not fish a particular stretch.

  6. THIGH WADERS ONLY – breast waders are prohibited.

  7. Fishing will be Fly rod, fly reel and fly only. Maximum 4lb breaking strain nylon, minimum taking size 10".

  8. All anglers must refrain from lighting fires, dropping litter, or causing damage to estate property. DOGS ARE PROHIBITED

  9. Car Parking: Suggested areas available are marked on the sites map. Parking is solely at the user's risk. The estate accepts no liability for damage, accident or loss. Vehicles should be parked to avoid blocking field gates or creating hazards to passing vehicles when parked adjoining public roads. All gates should be closed when not in use.

  10. A record of your catch (including date of catch, type of fish and weight), including NIL returns MUST be submitted to the Estate office within 5 working days or by 1st February 2021 ( whichever soonest).   11. In Scotland it is illegal to fish without written permission. Your licence/permit is not transferable, and proof of purchase must be carried at all times when fishing and shown on demand. You cannot sublet fishings that you book

  12. Once you have booked you cannot change your dates or number of rods .

  13. Rods may not be shared on any one day.

  14. Please note that in line with general practice, we cannot give refunds for fishing spoilt by poor weather, water or fishing conditions. 

  15. We strongly advise you to wear buoyancy aids of a design that will not impair your ability to fish in comfort when wading in strong or deep water. It is to be noted that you are fishing at your own risk.

  17. To help prevent an outbreak of Gyrodactylus Salaris which has had catastrophic effects on some foreign rivers, all rods fishing must ensure that you have not used your fishing tackle abroad in the last three months, or if you have done so that you have had it properly sterilised,

  18. We reserve the right to immediately withdraw fishing without compensation from anyone who breaks these or associated conditions, or flouts normal standards of behaviour or fishing.  Anyone continuing to fish under these circumstances will render themselves liable to prosecution. etiquette.

  19. You need to bring your own fishing equipment (rods, reels, lines, flies etc).

  20. You need to be reasonably healthy and mobile to access the fishing.
